Bonus: The Making of Huntsville's Most Extraordinary Residence
The construction of the Patel residence stands as a testament to what happens when visionary homeowners meet innovative builders. This warm and candid conversation reveals the extraordinary features being incorporated into what's described as "pound for pound, probably one of the nicest homes in the Huntsville area."
At approximately 12,000 square feet, this residence goes far beyond typical luxury builds. The collaborative effort between the builder and designer Luke has resulted in a home filled with technological marvels that blur the line between architecture and entertainment. Most notably, the property features an advanced pool system where music triggers responsive features throughout the entire house—exterior lighting dances in perfect synchronization with the water features, creating an immersive audiovisual experience rarely found in residential properties.
The technological sophistication extends to every corner of this remarkable home. We learn about the integration of smart home systems that can perform sequences like flickering lights to notify residents that dinner is ready or automatically activating kitchen systems when someone begins cooking. Perhaps most impressive is the reference to a $100,000 home cinema system—described as one of only five residential setups in the nation capable of delivering output quality surpassing commercial theaters. The discussion also touches on AVIQ, a local Huntsville company with 40+ years of experience creating comprehensive smart home solutions.
Have you ever wondered what's possible when budget constraints are removed from home building? This conversation offers a fascinating glimpse into the future of luxury living. Follow along as we continue to document extraordinary projects reshaping residential architecture and technology integration.
Yeah, we're going to record this warm-up. Yeah, under 45 seconds, tell me a story from your industry, your niche.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so tell us about the.
Speaker 1:Patel build real quick yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, absolutely so. Mr Patel came to us and was, you know, looking for a builder to build his house and basically it was not ordinary, I can say that, and it was going to take a lot of design work and stuff like that right there. So we partnered with Luke and Luke basically done the whole design for us, and what we did is we put basically our two brains together to give this customer what I consider probably what's gonna be one of the nicest homes in this area and we're really excited to showcase that home. How many square feet is it? It's probably about 12,000 hundred beating, something like that. I would say, like pound for pound, it is probably one of the nicest homes in the Huntsville area.
Speaker 2:I don't know that you're really gonna encounter another home like it yeah, and then probably what I'm most excited for is the pool man. So many features, so many landscape designs and speakers that's going to go into it and basically when he's playing music through the pool, the whole house is going to react. So the lights on the home are going to dance with the water show.
Speaker 1:So yeah, we're really excited to see that Who'd y'all end up using for that stuff.
Speaker 2:So we're working with Out with a outdoor living solution okay, I need to introduce you guys.
Speaker 1:We met this company. They're right in South Huntsville, a VIQ I feel like I've sold it, dude. Next level okay, like man, oh, they've got a. They got a home theater system, so it's a home cinema, $100,000 home cinema. It's one of five cinemas in the nation that can output the kind of quality that they do, better than any theater you're going to walk in. So I mean, is that like in their showroom? Yeah, oh, wow, yeah, it's right here in Huntsville Super, super awesome place. Oh, wow, yeah, it's right here in Huntsville Super, super awesome place. Guys have been doing it for I don't know like 40-something years.
Speaker 1:Yeah so they've got some big industry partners and stuff, the houses that y'all are building over at PDG. You need to go talk to these guys. Absolutely, chip and Mike like super cool place Absolutely. I'm sure the Patel's have spared no expense.
Speaker 2:Oh no, not at all. It's been a real fun project yeah.
Speaker 1:Heck. Yeah, all right, be good. Yeah, I really do need to make that connection. I didn't think about that, but that would be. They do whole home systems. You said AVIQ, aviq, that's so close. I currently work with AVx. Yeah, man, they build the brain that runs like the smart home, yep, and they do all that other stuff so you can like walk in, eat it, like you know dinner's ready, and the lights will flicker in the house, notify you, go to the kitchen, or hey, I'm about to cook, and then the lights come up in the kitchen and the hood comes on. So you pretty much do whatever. It's really cool yeah.
